Privacy Policy

Privacy in one sentence: Stillz processes all video work on your device. Only subscription purchase data is shared with RevenueCat, our payment provider, to verify your Pro access.
Overview
Stillz is a video frame extraction app for iPhone. This policy explains how the app handles your data. The short answer: it doesn't collect any.
What we collect
When you purchase Stillz Pro, your App Store purchase receipt and an anonymous device identifier are sent to RevenueCat (our subscription provider) to verify and manage your subscription. No name, email address, or payment information is ever collected or transmitted by Stillz — payment is handled entirely by Apple.
Photo and video access
Stillz requests access to your photo library only so you can select a video to work with. Your photos and videos are processed entirely on your device and are never uploaded, shared, or accessed outside of the app session.
Metadata
When the "Include Metadata" setting is enabled, Stillz embeds metadata from the source video — such as GPS location, camera model, and creation timestamp — into the image you save. This metadata is written directly to the photo in your library and stays on your device. Stillz does not read or transmit this metadata for any other purpose.
Third-party services
Stillz uses RevenueCat (revenuecat.com) to manage Pro subscriptions. When you purchase or restore a subscription, RevenueCat receives your Apple App Store receipt and an anonymous device identifier — a random UUID generated on your device, not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID — to verify your entitlement. RevenueCat also reads the date of your first App Store account activity to identify founding members who installed Stillz before 20 May 2026. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email address, Apple ID, or payment details. See RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy for full details.
Apple's data collection
Apple may collect limited, anonymised usage data through standard iOS and App Store frameworks (for example, App Store Connect analytics). This data is collected and governed solely by Apple's Privacy Policy at apple.com/legal/privacy and is outside of Stillz's control. Stillz does not receive, access, or process this data.
Children's privacy
Stillz does not contain features that are inappropriate for users of any age. Because the app collects no data whatsoever, there are no special provisions required for younger users.
Changes to this policy
If this policy is ever updated, the new effective date will be shown at the top of this page. We will not introduce data collection without updating this policy first.
